Ghana Center Amida Brimah has stated he looks forward to experience life in Japan Basketballghana.com can confirm in the wake of his move to Japanese Basketball League side Akita Northern Happinets.
He said this in his introductory address after officially joining the club following his near one season stint in the Belgian Pro League with Filou Oostende.
“It has always been my dream to visit Japan someday. I am also looking forward to experiencing Japanese Culture” he stated in the interview.
Brimah’s athleticism and 6 foot 10 inch frame is sure to be welcomed by Happinets with the team finished sixth in the 11 team East standings and exiting in the quarterfinal stage of the playoffs.
The former Indiana Pacers man helped Oostende win its 11th league title in a row; the prior season, Brimah led Mets de Guaynabo to its first BSN League Finals in 18 years in Puerto Rico.
He played three seasons with Austin Spurs in the NBA Gatorade League where he won the 2018 title; Brimah won the national collegiate title during his time at the University of Connecticut.
