Ghana Center Amida Brimah has touted the winning mentality he brings to Japanese Basketball League side Akita Northern Happinets after sealing a move to join the team.
He said this during his official unveiling by the team that finished sixth in the 2021-2022 standings before exiting at the quarterfinal stage.

Brimah joins Happinets from Belgian Pro side Filou Oostende where he helped Oostende win its 11th league title on the bounce but missed out on a double title win after losing the Belgian Cup Final.
“I’ve won many times in my career and I don’t like to lose so I think I’m a good fit for Akita’s winning culture. I want to deliver many victories to Akita” he said.

Brimah won the National Collegiate Basketball title at the University of Connecticut and won the 2018 NBA Gatorade League with Austin Spurs.
The 6 foot 10 inch player sparked a turnaround in the fortunes of Mets de Guaynabo in the Puerto Rican top flight anchoring the defence to make a finals appearance for the first time in 18 years.
