Defending Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I Champions Reformers of Prisons remain unbeaten in the 2022 campaign.
The team has extended its winning streak to 13 games after clinching a 62-54 win over Ghana Air Force at the Prisons Court in Cantonments.
Reformers maintain their position on top of the nine team league standings in the Men’s Division I Regular Season. Prisons scored the win in a game played at frenetic pace but had too many turnovers in front of a healthy crowd.

Nana Kwame Adjei scored six points for Reformers as Prisons run off to a 10-2 start but got hit with a technical foul; Suleman Wahab profited by scoring the ensuing free throw and Nana Tuffour drained a corner three pointer for Air Force. Prince Sampson and Ibrahim Barbuoso added points on the board for Prisons.
Owusu Nuamah scored a tough jump shot. Prisons held a 12-10 lead with under three minutes remaining in the third quarter but scored eight straight points to close the quarter. Barbuoso completed a three point play, Kingsley Whyte and Gabriel Ashaley scored in the run.
Saadu Adamu delivered the highlight moment of the game with a dunk off a partially blocked shot attempt from a teammate. Thompson Kuedokah and Gabriel Atachie scored three points each for Air Force. Prisons led 33-22 at half time.
Daniel Opoku laid the ball in to open the third quarter. The teams traded three pointers but Reformers got the advantage (2-1) in the exchange. Raymond Abagi stepped off the bench and delivered two three pointers to give Reformers a 51-41 third quarter lead.
Air Force had a good run as Prisons missed several good looks at the rim and turned the ball over several times and had a nine point deficit with 2:10 minutes to play. Ashaley scored a running layup to end Prisons poor run. Thompson scored four points to close the game but Prisons held on to win.
