The deal which marks Brimah’s first ever foray into the Asian market as a professional basketball player is reportedly a “lucrative” one according to Belgian news outlet GVA.
He is one of four players to leave Belgian side Filou Oostende after aiding the team win its 11th league title in a row; the team missed out on the 2021-2022 Belgian Cup after making it to the finals.
Olli Axel Jantunen, Phil Booth and Levi Randolph have left to join Treviso (Italy), Buducnost Podgorica (Montenegro) and Hapoel Jerusalem (Isreal) respectively.
According to GVA, all four players have new contracts worth three to five times more than the contracts they had at Oostende. Brimah will be looking to get Happinets beyond the first round of the playoffs it recorded last season.
Brimah had a brief stint in the NBA with Indiana Pacers and won the NBA Gatorade League title with Austin Spurs before playing in Puerto Rico for Mets de Guaynabo and Filou.
