Basketballghana.com can confirm Spintex Knights Basketball Club will compete in the 2022 edition of the Tournoi International Basketball Tournament from July 18 to July 22 in Ivory Coast.
The basketball competition is headlined by host Phenix Basketball Club from Ivory Coast and is set to have eight teams participate; the competing teams have been drawn from four countries in the West African sub region.
Knights will represent Ghana in the tournament where the likes of Kwara Falcons will represent Nigeria and ASPAC will represent Benin.
Spintex Knights is competing in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II for the first time in the club’s young history and is yet to lose a game.
The team has nine wins in as many appearances and leads Group B with 18 points; the team’s last appearance had them score a 69-49 win over Ghana Army. The team is scheduled to play Juniour Reformers later today at 16:30 GMT. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
Knights Club has been competing in recent years in the Tema Community Basketball League and is slated to compete in the finals against defending champions Nungua Coldstore.
