Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghanaian Small Forward/ Power Forward Reggie Agbeko has joined Spanish lower division Melilla Capital Soler.
According to EuroBasket, the move was completed on July 6 and sees the 29 year old Ghanaian join Melilla from fellow Spanish LEB Silver side Zornotza.
The 6 foot 7 inch Agbeko has called Spain home for the past three seasons in his professional career since moving from Danish side Horsens.
Agbeko has played for Villarobledo and Albacete in previous seasons in the Iberian nation prior to his move to Zornotza where he helped the team reach the quarterfinals of the playoffs in an attempt to qualify from the division.
In 30 league games, he averaged 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds while making appearances off the bench; by joining Melilla, Agbeko gets to stay in the West Division.
Last season, Zornotza recorded 17 wins and nine losses to finish in third place in the regular season standings while Melilla finished in ninth place with a record of 12 wins and 14 losses.
