Mfantsipim School Basketball Head Coach Isaac Kobina Mensah has described his Best High School Boys Coach Award win at the Basketball Honours as a great feeling.
He said this in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com in the aftermath of the program held recently to honour the efforts of individuals and organizations in basketball development in Ghana. (Click highlighted text to view full list of winners)
The Award was one of two bagged by the Mfantsipim School fraternity at the event that was headlined by former Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President David Addo Ashong receiving the Basketball Personality Award.
“I feel great. Working for so many years and being honoured is great” he stated when quizzed about his win at the grand event. Mfantsipim is the most dominant force at the High School level in the Boys Division in Ghana after winning the Sprite Ball Championship a record five times. It is the only team in the history of the competition (Boys or Girls category) to win the Championship three times in a row. The team has competed in nine finals altogether.
