Basketballghana.com gathers the Accra Basketball League (ABL) has entered a partnership agreement with a couple of corporate bodies.
Ghana’s leading basketball portal understands Telecommunication Giant MTN and Financial institution FBN Bank are partners of the league.

The partnership was broached a few weeks into the start of the second round of the 2022 ABL campaign. Finer details of the deal involved the parties are yet to be officially announced.

This agreement comes at a time the league continues its search for partners to help beat down the financial cost involved in running the longest tenured league in the West African nation.

MTN supported the league in the 2019 season and isn’t new throwing its support behind similar basketball ventures including the Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges (UPAC) Basketball Championship.

Ghana Police Service, TUSK Foundation and Reformers of Prisons are defending champions in the Women’s Division, Men’s Division II and Men’s Division I respectively after bagging titles in the 2021 season.

20 teams are competing in the Men’s Division II in the 2022 season with teams competing in each of the Women’s and Men’s Division Respectively.
