Ghana Forward Ben Bentil joined his teammates, Coaching Staff and Executives of Olimpia Milano on Celebration Day to revel in the Serie A title winning spotlight.
Milano beat Virtus Bologna 81-64 in Game 6 of the best of seven games series to clinch the 2022 Serie A Basketball title via a 4-2 series win. Milano lost four straight games to Virtus Bologna in the 2021 Season Finals. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
Bentil joined the team this season after a brief run at Bahcesehir Koleji Istanbul in Turkey and helped the team win the Italian Cup before adding the Serie A title win in his first season.
In the series clinching win, the 27 year old 6 foot 8 inch former Dallas Mavericks player registered six points, two rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal in 21 minutes.
His first go around in Italy had Bentil average 10.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 17 regular season games. In the playoffs, Bentil averaged 7.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 12 games.
Bentil won two league titles and the Greek Cup in Greece during his time at Panathinaikos.
