Basketballghana.com can report Olimpia Milano has secured a win over Virtus Bologna in Game One of the 2022 Italian Serie A Basketball Finals.
Milano bagged a 66–62 win over the defending league champions Bologna in Game One of the best of seven games series with Ghana’s Ben Bentil starting in the game for Milano.
Bentil played 19 total minutes and registered five points, seven rebounds and a steal in a tough physical game that underwhelmed in the offensive departments for either team. [Click highlighted text to watch game highlights]
Former Dallas Mavericks Forward Bentil converted just one of five two point shot attempts and missed a trio of three point shot attempts. He did make three out of four free throws.
Four of his rebounds tally was recorded on the offensive side to lead his team; teammate Center Kyle Kines registered 10 total rebounds with seven coming on the defensive side of the court.
Bologna veteran Guard Milos Teodosic scored 16 points and added six assists; Milano’s Shavon Shields and Luigi Datome scored 18 and 13 points respectively.
Game 2 is scheduled for Friday, June 10 at 19;00 GMT.
