Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Amida Brimah has made a quicker than expected return from injury to compete in the Belgian Basketball League Finals Series.
The 6 foot 10 inch Brimah was thought to be lost for the rest of the season after suffering a metatarsal bone break in his right foot in a league game on March 30.
The former Indiana Pacers man’s foot was stuck in a brace for six weeks after surgery as part of his recovery process and was deemed lost for the season.
However, Brimah has recovered from the injury and has played all two games in the finals series against Mechelen albeit in limited minutes.
According to news outlet Nieuwsblad, Brimah’s motivation behind his quick recovery was the chance to compete in the biggest game of the season.
“Professional athletes always look forward to big, important moments. Playoff duels are the best matches to play. I am looking forward to representing Oostende again to a full house” he stated.
Oostende is attempting to win its 11th straight Belgian Po League title.
