Veteran Ghanaian-American Combo Guard David Cournooh is set to feature in his final game for Vanoli Cremona before departing the team officially.
Cremona takes on Trento on the final day of the 2021-2022 Italian Serie A Regular Season with Vanoli ranked bottom of the 16 team league standings with just seven wins and 22 losses. Trento ranks 13th with 11 wins and 18 losses a record it shares with Napoli.
Cournooh earlier this month signed a deal with Serie A2 side Scafati Givova and will compete for Scafati in the 2022-2023 season in the Italian lower division.
The move brings to an end Cournooh’s two year run with Cremona after playing for teams like Virtus Bologna prior; he is a 2019 Basketball Champions League winner with Virtus.
Heading into his final game of the season, Cournooh is averaging 11.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 28 games. Cournooh has represented Italy’s Senior Men’s National team on a couple of occasions with the last run coming in 2020.
