Highly rated Filou Oostende young Forward Haris Bratanovic is lamenting the loss of Ghana Center Amida Brimah to injury as the season gets into the business end.

According to news outlet, nieuwsblad.be the 21 year old 6 foot 10 inch Bratanovic described Brimah’s absence as a “shame” considering the former Indiana Pacers man’s impact on the team in his first season in Belgium.

Brimah is nursing a foot injury that required surgery last month and has been ruled out for the rest of the season but should make a full recovery in the offseason to get himself ready for the next season.

Speaking on the situation, Bratanovic said, “It’s a shame, we have a kind of a curse with our foreign big guys.”

Last season, Oostende missed Thomas Welsh in the latter part of the campaign due to injury and the events of last season repeated itself with Brimah missing the key part of this season.

In his first season with Oostende, Brimah averaged nine points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots 17.1 minutes across games in the league and played seven games in the Basketball Champions League.
