Basketballghana.com can report American-Ghanaian Guard Denzel Mensah is the brightest American prospect in the Armenian Basketball League A.
The 6 foot 2 inch Guard leads the collection of American talent in the European nation’s top tier basketball league despite having a late start to life in the league.
In nine league games for BKMA, Mensah averaged 42 points, 16.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 40.2 minutes while delivering 42 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals in a solo outing for Urartu in a 107-109 loss to Erebuni in the League Finals Series.
Mensah has experience playing in Spain’s lower tier for Valencia B and a brief stint in the NBA Gatorade League (G-League) with Greensboro Swamp after graduating from Pennsylvania State University- Wilkes Barre.
Despite a late entry into the league, Mensah excelled tremendously and was named into the League’s All Star Team and won the Slam Dunk Contest. He was the Co-MVP Award winner in the All Star Game.
Mensah averaged in late March, Mensah won the Super Cup with Urartu.
