Filou Oostende’s 22 game winning streak has come to an end following the team’s 66-75 loss to Den Bosch in the BNXT League Winners stage.
The loss came in the Oostende’s first matchup since Ghana Center Amida Brimah picked up what looked like an ankle injury that has been diagnosed as a foot injury in the win over Zwolle after landing beneath the basket. Oostende beat Zwolle 83-54 but lost Amida in the second minute.
Minus the 6 foot 10 inch defender Brimah, Oostende got crushed in the rebounding department as Den Bosch recorded 42 rebounds against 29 for Filou.
In his first season competing for the Belgian side, Brimah is averaging nine points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots in 17.1 minutes across eight games in the league. In the Basketball Champions League, the former Indiana Pacers player is averaging 9.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in nine games.
Den Bosch and Filou face off again on Friday, April 8; Brimah’s injury is quite serious per reports reaching Basketballghana.com
