Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Power Forward Ben Bentil has featured in Olimpia Milano’s latest game in the Euroleague Basketball Championship.
Milano lost 63-72 to AS Monaco with the Italian side putting up one of its low performances of the season against the French side.
Bentil played 21:51 minutes and produced eight points and three rebounds; Shavon Shields was the only Milano player to score in double figures (22 points) while adding three rebounds and five assists. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
Sekondi native Bentil attempted three field goal shots and converted one but was more efficient from three point range as he converted two out of a trio of three point shots.
The loss means Milano slips to fourth place in the 15 team standings with 18 wins and nine losses same as third ranked Real Madrid and second ranked Olimpiacos. Barcelona leads the standings with 21 wins and five losses.
Despite the loss, Milano has booked its place in the playoffs with home advantage; this is Bentil’s first season in the Euroleague with Milano.
