Basketballghana.com can report American-Ghanaian Center Selom Mawugbe has filled the stat sheet in another impressive outing for Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA Gatorade League (G-League).
Warriors clinched its fourth win in a row by beating Salt Lake City Stars 118-115 with 6 foot 10 inch defender Mawugbe delivering a solid contribution.
The former Azusa Pacific University registered 10 points, 14 rebounds, two blocked shots, two assists and a steal in 32 minutes as the starting Center. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
He was part of a Santa Cruz team that had seven of eight active players score in double figures with LJ Figueroa’s 24 point outing leading the way.
Mawugbe led the game in rebounds and his blocks count was tied with Salt Lake’s Tarkus Ferguson; the Warriors second year player caught 12 rebounds on the defensive side of the court.
Selom’s improved form has coincided with Santa Cruz’s upturn in form guide; the team has won four straight games with just a game left to play in the regular season against Austin Spurs.
