Basketballghana.com can confirm the Takoradi leg of the Iungo World Ghana Tour has been successfully held at the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Court.
The event was held earlier today with a big attendance of participants drafted mainly from Senior High School Basketball Teams in the city of Sekondi-Takoradi.
Participants were taken through various basketball drills including finishing skills and reading of defenses; the training sessions were led by former American-Kazakhstani international Point Guard Jerry Johnson who has a 13 year professional basketball career to his credit.
Similar sessions held in Accra and Cape Coast preceded today’s event; Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) President Ato Van-Ess and Western Basketball Association (WBA) Chairman William Ocran and other Executives were present to witness proceedings.
After concluding the training sessions, the best 50 participants were broken into teams to play out exhibition games for Male and Female participants.
The Iungo World entourage journeys to Kumasi and Tamale to round up its tour of the West African nation; the team is expected to return to Accra from Tamale on March 28 and depart Ghana the next day.
