Basketballghana.com can confirm American-Ghanaian Denzel Mensah has won February’s Player of the Month Award in the V-Bet Armenia Basketball League.
The Award win was confirmed recently in light of the athletic 6 foot 2 inch Guard’s scorching start to life in the European nation’s league competition.
In four games played in the past month, Mensah averaged 42.4 points, 17.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists for BKMA; he signed for the team in the opening week in February.
Since signing for the team, the former Penn State University-Wilkes Barre product is yet to score below 30 points in a game; in response to winning the Award, Mensah delivered 54 points, 19 rebounds, six assists, seven steals and a block in 40 minutes in a 100-93 win for BKMA over AIA Yerevan. His impressive production is sure to attract a lot of suitors in the offseason after playing a couple of years in the Spanish minor league.
Mensah played in the All Star Game and won the Slam Dunk Contest in February.
