Basketballghana.com can confirm 21 teams will compete in the 2022 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II Regular Season following an official communication from the League.
This comes ahead of the start date for the 2022 ABL Season on Tuesday, March 8 with games scheduled to be played at the Prisons Court in Cantonments in Accra.
15 teams competed in the 2021 Season that was played over a shorter than expected period due to the league’s mandatory COVID 19 vaccination program.
TUSK Foundation topped the division at the expense of Tudu Galaxy and Ghana Navy in a three way postseason battle for the title. Each team topped its respective group at the conclusion of the regular season.
The same format is to be applied to determine teams that get to progress to the postseason; all teams in the division are to be grouped into three groups with each group containing seven teams.
The 2022 season was originally set to commence on February 22.
