Basketballghana.com can report the start date for the 2022 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Season has switched to Tuesday, March 8.
The league was scheduled to commence on Tuesday, February 22 with games involving teams in the league’s various divisions set to get underway to start playing activities on the basketball calendar for the Greater Accra Basketball Association (GABBA).
The change in date comes as a result of the league’s migration of player statistics on to the NBN23 Statistics System as part of efforts to improve the league by Executives.
This news affects games involving teams in all divisions of the league; the Men’s Division I, Men’s Division II and Women’s Division.
Reformers of Prisons, TUSK Foundation and Ghana Police Service are the Defending Champions respectively ahead of the new season.
The upcoming season comes on the back of the 2021 campaign that was played out over a shorter than usual period due to complications from the lingering effects of the COVID 19 pandemic.
