San Diego State beat Air Force 76-64 in the regular season of the 2021-2022 campaign earlier this week and Mensah led San Diego in scoring.
The 6 foot 10 inch defender scored 14 points and added six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block to his tally in 27 minutes as a starter. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
Speaking after the game, Mensah highlighted game plan tweaks the team had to make to clinch the win. He said:
“We had to have a s new set of plans just to (control them), because it is mostly about like back cuts so it’s not what we are accustomed to so it was different today…it can become frustrating when you just let one slip away…so it’s kind of hard every time we play against them” according to San Diego State University media.
