Later tonight, Filou Oostende takes on Prometey in the FIBA Basketball Champions League Regular Season of the 2021-2022 Round of 16 stage.
The game is set to be Oostende’s third but Prometey’s second at this stage of the competition with Filou in dire need of a win to boost its chance of qualification to the quarterfinal stage.
Ghana Center Amida Brimah is on Oostende’s roster but the Belgian side has lost twice in as many games going into tonight’s game. Prometey won its matchup.
Oostende lost 59-75 to Unicaja Malaga in Spain and lost 75-86 to U-Banca Transilvania in Romania earlier this week to fall to a 0-2 start.
Brimah played in both games and recorded 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks in the loss to Transilvania as a starter. Filou will compete in front of its home fans in tonight’s matchup for the first time at this stage.
The team ranks bottom of the standings in Group K with two points while Transilvania has four points from winning all two games played thus far.
