Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Men’s Basketball Team Head Coach Reagan Sarpong has indicated his team’s focus will remain razor sharp in games irrespective of the kind of lead it builds.

KNUST has missed out on winning gold in various competitions despite having big leads in the lead up to final minutes in crucial games. When quizzed on the approach of the team to halt this run, Coach Sarpong stated:

KNUST (Green) v Radford at 2021 UPAC

“I think at a point inexperience on the part of the team kicks in..but looking forward I think we’ve really talked a lot and done a lot on the drawing board and behind the scenes and am not sure that when we have even a marginal lead we are going to blow it because the team is poised for action and they are really working hard to avoid this.”
