Basketballghana.com can report Ghana Center/ Power Forward Ebenezer Dowuona made his return from a lower leg injury to play for North Carolina State University in the team’s matchup against Notre Dame University.
North Carolina State lost 57-69 to Notre Dame with Dowuona registering two points, a block, three rebounds in 17 minutes off the bench.
The injury forced Dowuona to miss a game against Syracuse University and ended his 21 streak with North Carolina where he started all games.
The loss marks another low point in a frustrating season for the Wolfpack who have 10 wins and 14 losses in the 2021-2022 US Men’s College Regular Season.
In his second season, the athletic defender Dowuona was expected to continue his development but a season ending injury in the first game of the season to Manny Bates thrust Dowuona into a starting role.
He is averaging 3.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 27.4 minutes across 16 games this season. North Carolina State plays Wake Forest University on Thursday, February 10.
