Filou Oostende and Ghana Center Amida Brimah has made it into the Top 5 plays of the FIBA Basketball Champions League following the conclusion of games in the first round of games at the 1/16 stage.
Brimah’s brilliant block in Oostende’s 59-75 loss to Unicaja Malaga on Jaime Fernandez made its way to Number 3 on the highlight plays from the round of games in the continental championship.
The 6 foot 10 inch defender rolled to the basket to swat Fernandez’s layup attempt into the stands in the second quarter when Oostende trailed 34-35 with 17.8 seconds to conclude the first half. (Click highlighted text to watch highlights)
The block was one of three rejections former Indiana Pacers man Brimah inflicted on Malaga to add to seven points, 10 rebounds and a steal he recorded in 25 minutes off the bench.
Oostende struggled to score as Brimah was one of three players to score seven points while Keye van der Vuurst de Vries was the only Oostende player to score in double digits with 12 points.
Oostende plays U-Banca Transilvania on Monday, February 7 at 19:30 GMT
