Basketballghana.com can confirm Ghana Center Ben Bentil ended Olimpia Milano’s recent appearance in the Euroleague as the top scorer for the Italian team.
Bentil’s scoring touch was on full display in Milano’s 60-71 win to Turkish Fenerbache in the latest Regular Season Round of the 2021-2022 Season of the continental tournament.
The former Dallas Mavericks Forward came off the bench and registered 12 points, two rebounds and an assist in 21:09 minutes in the game. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
Despite attempting just nine shots, the Boston Celtics draftee in the 2016 NBA Draft scored five of them with his best work coming from three point range.
He scored two of the those attempts from deep while converting three of five two point shot attempts; Bentil did miss his sole free throw in the game that had players from both teams engage in a scuffle once the final whistle sounded.
Despite the loss, Milano maintains its place in third place in the standings with 22 wins and 15 losses; the team plays Trento in the Italian league on Saturday, February 5 before taking on Zalgiris in the Euroleague on February 8.
