Shooting Guard Benjamin Omari has been named the Most Valuable Player at the recently ended Game of Threes Golden Jam edition 3×3 Basketball Tournament.
The slick Guard was able to overcome an injury that forced him to sit out tryout games for selection of players into a national select side for Ghana’s Men’s Basketball Team.
With Omari leading the front, Team Iconics emerged winners of the one day tourney played out at the Semanhyia Golden Mall in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi. Iconics beat Elite Ballers 14-9 in the final game.
16 teams competed in the tournament organized by Clockwork Brand and topped the field thanks to efforts from Desmond Cobblah, Elvis Pobi-Siaw and James Amotoe aside Omari’s.
Popularly known as Padlock, Omari received a gold watch from celebrated Ghanaian watchmaker Caveman Watches as reward for winning the MVP title.
Omari won the Most Valuable Player Award in the Tema Basketball League in the 2018 season after a sterling string of performances for Tema Heat.
