Basketballghana.com can report Filou Oostende will compete for a place in the Belgian Basketball Cup Final against Antwerp Giants after both teams were drawn against each other at the semifinal stage.
Ghana Center Amida Brimah is in line to compete for Oostende after playing twice in the quarterfinal series against Mons-Hainaut that had Filou sweep the series to progress.
6 foot 10 inch Brimah registered 13 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in 22:25 minutes in Game One’s 96-58 win and added eight points, four rebounds and two blocked shots in 15:53 minutes in an 81-77 win in Game 2.
The semifinal matchups against Antwerp are scheduled for February 14 and February 16 respectively and the winner of the series takes on the winner of the Limburg-Okapi Aalst series.
Prior to the February meet, Antwerp and Oostende are scheduled to face off in the league on Saturday, January 29 at 19:30 GMT. Brimah and Oostende is in contention for three trophies this season.
