Basketballghana.com can confirm Filou Oostende has progressed to the semifinal stage of the 2021-2022 Belgian Basketball Cup competition.
Qualification for Ghana Center Amida Brimah’s team was confirmed in the latest round of games played at the quarterfinal stage. Oostende secured an 81-77 win over Mons-Hainaut in the second leg to progress.
In the first leg, Oostende hammered Mons-Hainaut 96-58 on the back of securing qualification to the Round of 16 in the FIBA Basketball Champions League.
Like Oostende, Antwerp Giants have qualified to the semis after securing two wins in a row over Kangoeroes including a 117-77 win in the first leg.
Brussels, Leuven Bears, Aalstar and Limburg United are battling to secure the final two spots in the semifinals with the series involving all four teams tied after two games played.
Brimah is gunning for his second title as a professional with his first trophy as a pro basketball player coming in 2018 during his stint at Austin Spurs in the NBA Gatorade League.
Oostende plays Antwerp Giants in the league on Saturday, January 29.
