Basketballghana.com can confirm the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) has sworn in members to constitute its new board that is tasked with promoting basketball in Ghana and developing the sport further.

The new Board has all members of the GBBA Executives on it led by Association President Ato Van-Ess and his two deputies Alex Kukula (Finance and Administration) and Iddrisu Ayambire (Technical and Development).

Other members of the Board include Ghana Education Service (GES) Physical Education Coordinator Michael Ayeh, Basketball Coaches Representative Lawal Peregrino-Brimah and Greater Accra Basketball Association Chairman Aytitey Bulley who represents the Coastal Zone.

The Board Members are to aid the recently elected Executives discharge their duties and effectively roll out plans for basketball activities in the West African nation.

This development comes mere days after the initial phase of the GBBA’s Memorandum of Understanding with Lithuania Basketball Federation (LBF) concluded. A tour of locations in Ghana’s southern sector formed the basis of an assessment of basketball in the country by LBF Representative Jonas Vainauskas.
