Ghana Center Nathan Mensah was joint top scorer for San Diego State University Men’s Basketball Team’s 37-42 loss to Boise State University.
The drub game that had San Diego State Coach Brian Dutcher apologize to fans for the poor display, is the lowest points the Aztecs have put up this season.
In 33 minutes as the starter at Center, Mensah registered 10 points, nine rebounds and a block; Lamont Butler was the only San Diego player aside Mensah to score in double figures as Butler scored 10 points.
6foot 10 inch Mensah missed out on a double double falling a rebound short of the mark; the team plays University of Nevada-Las Vegas on January 24.
Losing to Boise State means San Diego has 10 wins in 14 outings this season and the loss comes on the back of a long break for San Diego due to COVID 19 related postponed games against New Mexico and Wyoming.
Prior to losing to Boise State, San Diego’s last appearance was in a 79-49 win over Colorado State University on January 8.
