The Western Regional Basketball Association (WBA) League will commence in February this year according to Regional Chairman William Ackom Ocran.

In an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com, Chairman Ocran indicated the league was primed to start in January but had to be pushed back a bit to accommodate some “metrics”.

“We were given 22nd January to start but I think there is going to be some slight adjustments we are going to push it within the first week in February. It’s a national thing, we-various regional leagues- are all starting at the same time and there are some metrics in there if you look at it all players need to be vaccinated before they get into the league…I think this is what might cause the delay so we wouldn’t be able to start on January 22nd” he said.
