Basketballghana.com can confirm the high end Semanhyia Golden Mall has partnered with Clockwork Brand ahead of the Game of Threes Tournament and is officially known as Game of Threes Golden Jam.
The tournament is scheduled to commence on January 29 at the recently built glam Mall in Ghana’s Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi. Ghana’s leading basketball portal can confirm the tournament is a one day event.
The upcoming event is the second edition of the 3×3 Basketball Tournament; the 2021 edition that doubled as the maiden edition was played out at the Brunel Sports Complex at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
The decision to partner Semanhyia Mall according to Clockwork Brand CEO, Emmanuel Ekow Amoako, is a business move to “customize” events organized by Clockwork to corporations.
Players over age 15 are eligible to compete in the upcoming tournament with 16 slots available; 3×3 is the abridged form of the standard sport of basketball that has a massive following and athletes competed for medals in the sport for the first time at the Olympics held in Tokyo last year.
