Basketballghana.com can report Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Men’s Basketball Team continues to prepare for this year’s Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games.

KNUST v Kumasi Select Side (All Black) in an exhibition game

The biannual multi sport games are scheduled to be held at KNUST in April this year and earlier today, KNUST Men’s Basketball Team beat a select side from the Kumasi Basketball League 72-39.

The big win was played out in front of the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA)-Lithuania Basketball Federation (LBF)/ International Basketball University (IBU) Team that visited the Ashanti Region on its tour of Ghana’s southern sector to assess the state of basketball in Ghana.

In an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com, KNUST Coach Regan Sarpong commended his boys for the win but pegged the team’s preparation between “70 to 80%”.

“I think they didn’t do bad although we had some lapses…but on the whole, it was a good warm up game for the team. So far I think we should be about 70 to 80% ready for now” he said.

In an earlier exhibition game, Dichemso Chiefs Basketball Academy beat Royals Basketball Academy 35-14.
