He made this statement in his speech in a meeting between the Regional Association, the Ashanti region’s branch of the National Sports Authority and the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA)-Lithuania Basketball Federation (LBF)/ International Basketball University (IBU) Team.

Acting Regional NSA Director Emmanuel Kojo Appiah was present at the meeting that had LBF Representative Jonas Vainauskas, GBBA Vice President Alex Kukula and IBU West Africa Director Richard Borsah in attendance.

The meeting took place earlier today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the regional capital, Kumasi as the GBBA-LBF/IBU Team concluded its tour of locations in Ghana’s southern sector in assessing the state of basketball in Ghana.

Speaking at the meet, Professor Afram stated, “It has become very frustrating so this is one of the things that we need to talk about; access to facilities…it’s very difficult having referees so we need some training and even coaches”.
