Basketballghana.com can confirm the first leg of the Lithuania Basketball Federation (LBF) Tour of selected locations in Ghana in collaboration with the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) in Takoradi is due to commence later today.

The team is in Ghana’s Western Regional capital Sekondi-Takoradi for the Tour; the Tour is led by GBBA Vice President (Administration and Finance) Alex Kukula, LBF Representative Jonas Vainauskas and International Basketball University (IBU) Richard Borsah.

Head Coach of 2021 Accra Basketball League Men’s Division II Champions TUSK Foundation, Thomas Amediku, is part of the team in Takoradi.

The entourage arrived in the Coastal Oil City earlier today and was welcomed by Coach John Mawukor; later today the team is expected to meet the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) Vice Chancellor Professor John Frank Eshun.

As part of activities lined up for the day, the entourage will have a press conference after an interview on Radio Premier. A basketball matchup featuring prominent talents in and around the city will take place at the TTU Court.

Similar activities to assess the state of basketball in Ghana by the LBF are expected to roll out in Cape Coast and Kumasi in the coming days.
