Basketballghana.com can report Basketball Enthusiast Edward Ampong has donated a set of basketballs to the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA).

The donation was made on the sidelines of the press conference to officially announce the Lithuania Basketball Federation (LBF) visit to Ghana with both events taking place at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana’s capital.

LBF’s visit to Ghana is the first in a line of planned activities to gain a proper assessment of basketball in Ghana and come up with solutions to develop the sport. Jonas Vainauskas is representing the LBF on the visit.

GBBA Vice President (Administration and Finance) Alex Kukula and Greater Accra Basketball Association Chairman Ayitey Bulley were on hand to receive the items.

The gesture was made to aid the “development of basketball at the grass root” according to Ampong who also cited the need to take proactive decisions to develop the sport in Ghana.

On his part, Vice President Kukula was grateful for the donation and Regional Chairman Bulley assured all gathered the balls will be delivered to the appropriate quarters.
