Nigeria Basketball Federation (NNBF) Chairman Musa Kida has described the country’s Men’s and Women’s National Basketball Teams Olympic Games campaign as a “mixed experience”.

He made this statement when reviewing the country’s activities in the sport in 2021 that had the West African nation represent Africa in the Men’s and Women’s category respectively at the Olympic Games.

For the first time in its history D’Tigers and D’Tigress competed at the Olympic at the same time and D’Tigress went on to win the Women’s AfroBasket for the third time in a row.

Both teams crashed out of the Olympics at the Group Stage amid criticism from players from both sets over unpaid bonuses and poor treatment.
