Basketballghana.com can confirm Representative of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation’s (LBF) official visit to Ghana Jonas Vainauskas has touched base in the West African nation.

The former Basketball player arrived in Ghana earlier today ahead of the Press Conference to announce the start of activities lined up in the first phase of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) and LBF.

The GBBA has an agreement with the International Basketball University (IBU) in line with the aforementioned deal. The Press Conference takes place on Wednesday, January 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

On his arrival, Vainauskas stated, “I am grateful for the opportunity to start rebuilding your-Ghana-basketball together. I represent Lithuania Basketball and together with the Ghana Basketball Association I hope we are going to do a lot of great things” he said to Hood2Hood (Click highlighted text to watch video)

Vainauskas is expected to a lead an entourage made up of GBBA Executives, IBU Ghana Rep Richard Borsah and a handful of dignitaries at various locations in the country over a six day period.
