Basketballghana.com can report Belgian side Filou Oostende has missed out on a series leading win in the FIBA Basketball Champions League Play In Series.
Oostende lost 72-87 to Igokea in Game One of the best of three games series to determine the team progresses to the next stage of the European continental competition this season.
Ghana’s leading basketball portal can confirm Ghanaian Center Amida Brimah did not feature in the contest due to health and safety protocols in relation to COVID 19.
The former Indiana Pacers defender was one of two key players who missed the game for Oostende; Phil Booth did not compete in the contest due to an issue with his passport.
Oostende is competing in the Play In Series after missing out on the sole automatic qualification spot to the next stage. The team ranked third in Group E behind Turkey’s Tofas and France’s Strasbourg thus missing out on home advantage in Game 3 in the Play In Series.
Brimah is likely to feature in Game 2 on January 12, 2022.
