Six teams competed in the all male basketball competition that had the likes of Charm Basketball Academy and DUNK Knights compete.
Despite progressing to the final game thanks to a 35-18 win in the semifinal against DUNK, UG came unstuck against Galaxy and struggled mightily in the third quarter en route to the loss.
This forms part of UG’s preparation for the upcoming Ghana University Sports Association (GUSA) Games in April, 2022 at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology per reports reaching Ghana’s leading basketball portal.
UG heads into the Men’s basketball competition as three time defending champions with two African University Games (FASU) gold medals to its credit.
The GUSA Games is a biannual multi sport sports competition that brings together athletes from Ghana’s Public Universities to compete.
