The well attended event had representatives from Government sports agencies, members of corporate Ghana, basketball stakeholders including Coaches, Retired Players and Referees present.

In his remarks before he was awarded with a plaque for his longstanding service to basketball in the West African nation, Addo-Ashong was quick to spot the vibrancy in the new GBBA and acknowledged it is what the sport needs to develop further.
