Budding Ghanaian Power Forward/ Center Joel Mensah put in his best performance of the 2021-2022 US Men’s College Basketball Season for California State University-San Marcos since transferring to the program earlier this year.
San Marcos scored its ninth win of the season in nine games thanks to an 89-55 win over San Francisco State University recently. Mensah joined San Marcos from James Madison University.
Mensah played 16 minutes off the bench and registered nine points, a block and a rebound narrowing missing out his first double digit scoring outing in his San Marcos career.
It has been a slow start to life at San Marcos for the 6 foot 10 inch athletic defender who played two seasons at San Diego State University before moving to James Madison.
Mensah converted four of six two point shot attempts and scored his sole three point shot attempt in the game that had play the most minutes of his career at California State.
San Marcos plays Westcliff University on Sunday, December 19.
