The Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) is set to close out the year with a Dinner Gala slated for tonight at the La Palm Beach Hotel in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
Tonight’s program is scheduled to start at 19:00 GMT with the event slated to be the first major interaction between GBBA Executives and stakeholders.
The program is to be held under the theme, “Rejuvenating Basketball in Ghana-The All Inclusive Development Agenda” and primed to launch a blue print for the development of the sport in Ghana.
Stakeholders invited to the program include Event Organizers, Referees, Club Owners and Administrators and Coaches and potential event sponsors.
It is the first project set to be undertaken by the Ato Van-Ess led GBBA that got voted into office in November. Van-Ess replaced David Addo-Ashong as President of GBBA.
Infrastructural challenges and financing Basketball events and national teams remains a chronic issue that has prevented Ghana from making good on its promising hoops culture.
