Following the dismissal of Zvezdan Mitrovic, AS Monaco grabbed its first win under new Head Coach Sasa Obradovic after getting past Lithuanian side Zalgiris Kaunas in the Euroleague.
Monaco scored a 107-98 overtime win over Kaunas in Round 15 of the European continental competition with Ghana born French international Shooting Guard Yakuba Ouattara delivering his best performance this season in the win.
The 28 year old have struggled for game time and production this season but made a strong statement to be played as a starter by registering 11 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal in 15:25 minutes. (Click highlighted text to watch game highlights)
He neatly assisted front court players Donta Hall and Will Thomas baskets with feeds off drives to the basket. He was one of six Monaco players to score in double figures with Point Guard Mike James leading Monaco with 20 points.
Monaco returns to compete in the league on Friday, December 17 against Zenith St, Petersburg at 19:00 GMT and Wednesday, December 22 against Alba Berlin.
