Basketballghana.com can report the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) Dinner Gala takes place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana’s capital, Accra on Friday, December 17. The program is scheduled to start at 19:00 GMT.
The event is to be held under the theme “Rejuvenating Basketball in Ghana-The All Inclusive Development Agenda” and is expected to be attended by stakeholders in the Ghanaian basketball space including Referees, Club Administrators and Coaches.
Members of the recently elected GBBA Executive Board are expected to be in attendance with GBBA President Ato Van-Ess leading the delegation.
The upcoming event marks the first major activity by the new GBBA Executives and honours a promise made Association President while campaigning ahead of the elections held earlier this year.
Tomorrow’s Gala gives stakeholders and representatives of stakeholders the chance to have direct interactions with key players in the basketball space with a keen eye to develop the sport in the West African nation.
Despite a strong interest in basketball, a myriad of issues particularly finances have prevented basketball from developing as quickly as expected.
