American born Ghanaian Small Forward Bashir Ahmed has delivered another double digit scoring performance in the Romanian Basketball League.

Ahmed scored 12 points in Targu Jiu’s 67-82 loss to Pitesti in the latest round of 2021-2022 Regular Season league games played this past weekend.

The former St. John’s University player’s performance added a rebound and a steal in 22 minutes; Brandon Sly was the only Targu Jiu player to score in double digits in the game as the diminutive Point Guard scored 26 points to lead all players.

This performance comes on the back of Ahmed’s Award Winning Performance in Round 10 of the Regular Season where he registered 27 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 97-67 win over Ciuc.

Bashir

Targu Jiu has four wins and seven losses this season and ranks 12th in the 16 team standings while Pitesti ranks third in the league with nine wins and two losses.

In his first season in Romania, Ahmed is averaging 10.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
