Information reaching Basketballghana.com indicates Ghana Forward Ben Bentil has signed for Italian Serie A side Olimpia Milano by activating a clause in his contract he signed with Bahcesehir.
Bentil signed with Turkish side Bahcesehir Istanbul Koleji in the offseason after a three year run in Greece with Panathinaikos and Peristeri BC.
According to EuroBasket.com and Mercato, the 26 year old Power Forward/Small Forward has triggered a get out Euroleague clause in his deal with Bahcesehir and has signed a deal to join Milano after a brief spell with Bahcesehir.
In eight games in the Turkish league, 12 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game and in the FIBA Europe Cup, he averaged 16 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22.7 minutes across three games.
Bentil won two Greek League titles and the 2020-2021 Greek Cup with Panathinaikos; he has also played in France, Spain since turning pro in 2016.
He was drafted 51st overall by Boston Celtics in the 2016 NBA Draft and became the first Ghana born player to play in the NBA during his short stint with Dallas Mavericks.
