Unearthing talents is the reason Sprite Ball has added music to its core activities according to Coca-Cola Company Ghana Market Execution Manager Elijah Afutu Nartey.
He made this statement during the launch of Sprite Ball Xpressions at the De’lish Restaurant earlier today at a press conference. Sprite Ball Xpressions is an expanded format of the famous Sprite Ball with a heavy music component added to the core basketball program. (Click highlighted text to watch preview)
The music competition is to be held virtually with High School Students competing while the basketball event is to have young players compete to represent regions and not High Schools.
Speaking at the event, Nartey stated, “The (Coca-Cola) Brand believes in unearthing talents the more reason why we have added the “Xpressions” and for that matter the music talent to it…as a brand, we fully are in support and backing this (event).” (Click highlighted text to watch interview)
Young players are to form four community teams to compete at the regional level and the top players get picked to represent the respective regions. Six teams will represent six regions at the national event on December 24.
High School Students who are talented in music are to perform a song and upload a 30 seconds video of it to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #SpriteBall21 to stand the chance to qualify to be one of two contestants to represent the region at the national event on December 24.
